Brag: Jacob said his first word today, which was mama. Pretty exciting, he is learning loads of things all of the sudden. I taught him how to give kisses, which is basically him taking his face and putting it on your cheek, it is pretty cute. He learned to crawl and said his first word all in like 10 days. Too awesome.
Beat: Since the first thing out of his mouth was not "Ship the cookies", I do not get half of dodgy's bankroll. Damn.
Variance: Redoing a couple of rooms in the house to prepare for baby #2 kills poker time.

We spent all this time coaxing our daughter to talk, and now we wish we could shut her up sometimes :). It really is amazing how much babies and kids are able to soak in!
